The Keystone State Wrestling Alliance Heavyweight Champion, The Latin Assassin will take on the Prime Time Player, Double-A Anthony Alexander at the premier inter-promotional indy wrestling event in Western Pennsylvania: Deaf WrestleFest, this Sunday, May 1st.
The Prime Time Player—Alexander—says that he will once again regain his top spot in the KSWA by defeating Latin, who will celebrate one year as Heavyweight Champion on Sunday. Alexander, the current Golden Triangle Champion, once held World Heavyweight belt for approximately a year and a half. Now a part of the devious VIP's, Alexander says the belt is coming “back home.” Latin, who has cast aside all challengers, says that he won't be stopped at the top fundraising event in the region. Deaf WrestleFest benefits the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf.
Meanwhile, Alexander's running mates, the KSWA tag team champions, the VIP's—”The Enforcer” Shawn Blanchard and “Dr. Devastation” Lou Martin—all with KSWA Hall of Famer and Advisor Frank Durso, will be facing a quandry of their own when they face Justin Sane and Kris Kash. This tag team shot is not Justin's Battle Bowl opportunity. Kash asked Sane to team as his regular tag team partner Shane Starr is out of town. Sane will still be able to ask someone to tag with him at a later date this year.
All of the participants say they are honored to be a part of the Deaf WrestleFest extravaganza, which this year features “Mr. USA” Tony Atlas, Zach Gowen, Mia Yim, KSWA Hall of Famer Dominic DeNucci, Mayor Mystery and Pittsburgh's own Shane Douglas, who made his debut in the KSWA last year against Anthony Alexander. KSWA Owner Bobby O is also to be on hand.
Deaf WrestleFest is this Sunday, May 1 at the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf, 300 East Swissvale Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15218. Bell time is 6:00 p.m. General admission tickets are $20. Card is subject to change.
