Just over a month ago at the Guyasuta Cheerleader and Football Association fundraiser, "The Future" Shane Starr defeated long-time rival "The Enforcer" Shawn Blanchard, but the VIP founder got the ultimate upper hand when he whipped Starr repeatedly with a heavy duty belt strap. After the carnage, Keystone State Wrestling Alliance owner Bobby O announced that there would be a rematch of sorts, with a strap, when the KSWA returned to Sharpsburg for the VFD fundraiser on Saturday, November 5.
Starr, a Sharpsburg native, is out to seek revenge on Blanchard for the beating, which also included a lashing of Starr's friend and tag team partner Kris Kash. For his sake, Blanchard says that Starr only got a taste of the strap in October and the former VIP member will be humiliated in front of friends and family in his home town.
The KSWA Tag Team Champions--Party Gras (Lord Zoltan and Justin Sane)--are set for their most unorthodox challenge yet: fellow fan favorites Alex Arcadian and Ric Rumsky (known collectively as the "Best Tag Team Evaaa"). Zoltan and Sane are clicking and dancing on all cylinders and the re-formed Arcadian and Rumsky are picking up where they left off as one of the premier teams in the organization. Zoltan and Sane have gotten away with a lot of shenanigans inside the squared circle, particularly after they've won the Tag Team gold, but they might have met with their match with the hyperactive Rumsky and the brute strength of Arcadian. Rumsky actually seems as if he'd be a perfect fit for Party Gras. Might the Best Tag Team Evaaa wear gold again, or will Zoltan and Sane dance to Sir Mix A-Lot's trademark ditty once again at the conclusion of their match?
The KSWA World Heavyweight Champion Ali Kaida had his hands full with Jay Flash at Plum Borough Community Day this summer. Flash, with the support of his "Flash Addicts," nearly made an impossible dream come true by unseating Kaida. However, the Afghani Assault Weapon was able to ultimately get the duke. Now Flash gets a return shot at Kaida. What makes this challenge interesting is if Flash upsets Kaida for the title, that means Flash could go "title for title" against Bobby Badfingers at FanFest. Or Bobby O would have to re-arrange the Main Event. That's another reason why the KSWA is all about "opportunity." Anything can happen. However, the Legion of the Apocalypse's manager, Mayor Mystery, says that Ali Kaida is going to hold onto that title for as long as he wants it. Flash, meanwhile, remains pumped and geared up for this chance.
In other action, Golden Triangle Champion Bobby Badfingers has taken it upon himself to say that the Number One Contender for his championship is "The Drunken Luchadore" Joey Quervo. Quervo, who is perpetually "half in the bag" when he hits the arena, mumbled in Spanish that he thought he was signing up for a new cell phone package when he signed the Badfingers contract. Mayor Mystery says that Quervo represents the "best the KSWA has to offer" the Golden Triangle Champion.
The new team of The Blood Beast and Jonny Axx are set to take on Mitch Napier and Kris Kash. Axx, who is taking credit for breaking the forearm of the 7-foot-tall Jack Massacre last month, says that he will break Napier's arm right before FanFest. Meanwhile the team of Napier and Kash looks to be an interesting combination. Napier, who is freakishly strong for his size, has also become a risk-taker. And no one is more of a risk-taker than the quick-as-lightning Kash. They are looking forward to the Legion of the Apocalypse's threat that is Blood Beast (arguably the strongest man in the KSWA locker room) and the unpredictable Axx.
Speaking of Napier and FanFest, his former friend and the former KSWA Heavyweight Champion The Latin Assassin is set to take on the devious "Dr. Devastation" Lou Martin in one-on-one competition. Latin has a new, more aggressive attitude ever since losing the belt and Martin, a one-time-friend and frequent foe, looks to make a mark on Latin before the biggest event of the year. Latin should not overlook Martin, and the author of the Death Certificate hopes the New York resident does just that.
And a Triple Tag Team Match sees KSWA Jr. Heavyweight Champion "The Ice Man" Tony Johnson and Diamond Dave Diamond face off against "The King" Del Douglas and the Jester, as well as "Canadian Perfection" Drew Belanger and J.P. Goulet. Johnson and Diamond have never teamed together while Douglas and Jester have become a top tag team talent. The Canadians entered the KSWA together and work best as a cohesive unit. But Johnson might be the most well-rounded athlete in the KSWA and Diamond Dave has proved himself to be quite resilient, most recently with a decision over Belanger. And never count out the crafty King and his Jester.
